Out of hours access to library

The new entry card access entry system will be introduced over the next few weeks.

During the day there will be little change as all routes to the library are open.

Out of hours users should be aware that in order to acess the library after 5pm and over weekends you must have an active library membership.

The route to the library at these times will be via proximity scanner that reads the BARCODE on your ID card (the number we use as your library ID) without an active barcode the doosr will not open.  There are barcode scanners at the door from Grosvenor to Hunter Wing (by the bank), at the bottom of the stairs and at the top of the stairs and also for CR1.

Readers need to hold their cards under the scanner -about 2 inches away so that the multiple beams cover the barcode. If the
reader has a current library registration they will be allowed through regardless of status. If they are not registered the light will stay red.

If you are a remote user please ensure you have a library membership number and that it is active before visiting the library at these times. If you are unsure contact the library (0208 725 5466) for further information.
