Map of Medicine updates and new maps

Map of Medicine is available at  http://eng.mapofmedicine.com

The following care maps are now available to view, print and share:

  1. Ano-genital warts 
  2. Haematuria
  3. Neutropenic sepsis

When the evidence changes, so do Map of Medicine care maps.  Many care maps have been updated, including:

  •  Ectopic pregnancy, Termination of pregnancyand Miscarriage 
    • Now including recent evidence from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists,  , ,   on rhesus D prophylaxis
  • Gonorrhoea
    • Now updated with the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV’s 2011 national guideline for the management of gonorrhoea in adults
  • Contraception
    • Now with guidance on the risk of VTE for drospirenone-containing combined oral contraceptives (COCs) including Yasmin, and with extra information on the use of the Mirena coil
  •  Peripheral arterial disease
    • The very latest from NICE on Cilostazol, naftidrofuryl oxalate, pentoxifylline and inositol nicotinate for intermittent claudication for patients with PAD
  • Prostate cancer
    • This care map reflects guidance from the British Association of Urological Surgeons, NICE, and the European Association of Urology
  • Testicular cancer
    • Includes new follow-up criteria recommendations from SIGN relevant to patients, oncologists, clinical nurse specialists and GPs
    • This care map reflects guidance from the British Association of Urological Surgeons, NICE, and the European Association of Urology
