SGUL Library Refurbishment – Summer 2012

March 21, 2012 at 10:31 am Leave a comment

During the summer the silent study area of the Library will be refurbished with the aim of creating more study places and an improved environment.  Many of the print journals currently stored in this area will be moved to a Depository Library in Egham where SGUL will retain full access to them.  Any journals to which we have sustainable electronic access will be disposed of.  Once the refurbishment completes in Oct 2012 only a small number of print journals will be shelved in the SGUL library – these will mainly be nursing/midwifery titles that are only available in print (e.g. Nursing Times) and popular titles such as the BMJ. NHS staff have full access to SGUL electronic journals when they are logged on to an SGUL computer.

Plans for the refurbishment will be on display in the Library once they have been confirmed.

If you have any queries about this please email Sue David at sdavid@sgul.ac.uk.
