Evidence Update – Delirium
The latest Evidence Update ‘Delirium: Evidence Update April 2012’ www.evidence.nhs.uk/evidence-update-14 focuses on a summary of selected new evidence relevant to NICE clinical guideline 103 ‘Delirium: diagnosis, prevention and management’ (2010).
Dr Jonathan Rohrer, Senior Clinical Research Associate, Dementia Research Centre, UCL Institute of Neurology, London said: “The new Evidence Update on delirium from NHS Evidence focuses on the most important and up-to-date evidence that has been published in the field. It will be of interest to anyone working with patients with delirium. This includes general physicians, geriatricians, psychiatrists and neurologists as well as nurses and other health care professionals.”
While Evidence Updates do not replace current accredited guidance they do highlight new evidence that might generate a future change in practice.
NHS Evidence would like your feedback on the Evidence Update, what you like about it and how you think it could be improved. You can send your comments through to contactus@evidence.nhs.uk.
